Supermicro® Expands Silicon Valley Headquarters

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI), a global leader in high-performance, high-efficiency server, storage technology and green computing, announces that it has signed an agreement with San Jose Mercury News to acquire its San Jose campus located in the heart of Silicon Valley, USA. The 36-acre campus is currently home to the San Jose Mercury News and Bay Area News Group and includes 324,000 square feet of prime building space. The property is located within a mile of Supermicro's existing headquarters and will serve as an extension to Supermicro's US R&D and operations for worldwide growth.

Consummation of the sale of the property is subject to customary closing conditions, including, among others, Supermicro's review of the property. Escrow of the property is expected to close on or about October 30, 2013.
